Combat Meritorious Promotion

I usually don’t like giving myself kudos for my time in the military, but I suppose that’s the purpose of this site. While serving in Iraq as an Arabic linguist and SAW gunner in the Marine Corps infantry, our platoon of 30 marines was attacked by a force of over 100 insurgents intent on overthrowing our platoon outpost. As a result of courage and leadership displayed during the 4 hour engagement, I was awarded a Combat Meritorious Promotion.
